Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, Inc. in Topeka seeks a Payment Recovery Correspondent to analyze and determine corrective actions for improper processing of claims across all lines of business.

This onsite position requires coordination with multiple departments to ensure accurate recoveries and proper accounting. The role emphasizes precision in audits, timely communication with providers and customers, and close collaboration with Claims and Finance as part of day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience in Claims or BCBSKS Customer Service required.

Responsibilities

• Audit claims to ensure adherence to processing policies.
• Pursue and manage recovery of overpayments and apply recoveries.
• Coordinate with Claims and Finance for proper accounting of returned checks and credits.
• Generate collection letters for all lines of business.
• Update Workday with transactions to close open payments, debits and credits.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers in a courteous, timely manner.
