Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat medically disabled patients and educate families to cope with disabilities and prevent further impairment.

You will work with a care team to perform assessments, develop treatment plans, document progress, and mentor students when requested; active Michigan OT registration and NBCOT certification are required.

Qualifications

• OTR certification by NBCOT is required.
• Current Michigan OT registration is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients' physical and functional status related to medical diagnosis.
• Administers tests reflecting current practice standards (sensory, manual muscle, ROM, etc.).
• Develops short- and long-term therapy goals and treatment plans.
• Documents patient progress and updates physicians and treatment team.
• Maintains knowledge of current OT trends through education and conferences.
• Mentors coworkers and participates as Clinical Instructor with students when asked.
