Bethany Christian Services seeks a part-time Parenting Time Specialist to supervise visits and coordinate schedules for families in the Traverse City area. The role involves engaging birth parents, coordinating court-ordered visits, and supporting foster/kinship caregivers to promote safe, meaningful family time.

The position emphasizes compassionate family engagement, documentation of progress, and adherence to program goals within a faith-based agency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with two years of related experience or high school diploma with three years of related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• Must possess relatability and communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with families to supervise parenting time and coordinate visits per court and case plan.
• Identify case-specific needs for shared parenting and visit coaching and engage birth parents in services.
• Provide orientation and psycho-education on four basic skills for successful visits.
• Facilitate visits and document the shared parenting plan weekly.
• Engage foster/kinship caregivers and birth parents to develop trusting relationships for active involvement.
