Job summary

Minot Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional for Direct Services at Roosevelt Elementary School in Minot, North Dakota. This 6.25-hour day position supports students with special needs under supervision, assists teachers, and helps create a positive learning and social environment.

Requires an Associate’s Degree with experience with children or a high school diploma with Paraprofessional certification; background check required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and 1 year of experience working with children; OR high school diploma with Paraprofessional certification; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Must pass a thorough background investigation.
• ND Paraprofessional certification is required; CPI/CPR/First Aid training may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist severely disadvantaged and impaired students in classrooms with educational programs and individual support.
• Supervise and monitor students; help with learning objectives in small groups.
• Assist with planning, lesson materials, and IEP-related tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate reporting of student information.
• Support positive behavior and social skills development.
