McLaren Health Care in Detroit is seeking a full-time outpatient social worker to support clients facing social and economic difficulties. Responsibilities include assessment, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and individual or family therapy. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in social work and state licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Preferred qualifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and oncology or medical social work experience. This is an essential role aimed at enhancing the health and wellness of at-risk populations.

Formación

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited educational institution.
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) and maintenance of continuing education requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with the outpatient multidisciplinary teams to assess medical, psychological, emotional, and social information.
• Establishes a course of action by setting goals with the client.
• Obtains assistance for the client by referring him/her to community resources.
