Job summary

Sterling Therapy Providers in North Abington, MA, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct therapy programs, assess residents, and guide participation to restore and enhance functional performance.

The OT will design adaptive devices, collaborate with the rehab team, document progress, and ensure high quality patient care in a compassionate setting. Licensed or eligible to practice in Massachusetts; strong communication and organizational skills required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association and certified by AOTA.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
• Registered and/or eligible for certification by the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents, develops goals and methods, implements treatment and documents services.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains residents in their use.
• Selects appropriate activities based on individual capacity and interests.
• Collaborates with rehab team to tailor activity programs to resident needs.
• Instructs residents in skills and techniques for participation and tracks progress.
• Adapts program to resident needs and participates in care conferences.
• Conducts training for staff in occupational therapy techniques and objectives.
• Requisitions supplies and maintains equipment.
• Supervises supportive personnel per standards.
• Ensures high quality, compassionate care addressing residents’ needs and rights.
