Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver direct patient care, develop personalized care plans, supervise treatments, and guide patients toward independence. You will build meaningful relationships, assess needs, and support recovery in a collaborative inpatient setting.

Current licensure is required; CPR certification is expected, and a Master’s degree is preferred or a Bachelor’s with substantial field experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Master’s Degree preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree plus sufficient experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
