Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver direct patient care in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will assess patients, develop personalized therapy plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery and independence.

Strong clinical licensure and CPR are required; a Master’s degree is preferred or Bachelor’s with experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Master’s Degree preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree plus sufficient experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.

Education

Master’s Degree preferred
