Job summary

The Common Market is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead the Philadelphia distribution facility, owning daily operations, safety, throughput, and cost management. You will oversee warehouse, trucking, food safety, and frontline teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 7–12+ years in operations with 3–5+ years in people leadership, plus a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. On-site leadership is essential to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 7–12+ years in operations, logistics, or distribution.
• 3–5+ years leading frontline or supervisory teams.

Responsibilities

• Own overall Philadelphia facility performance, including safety, service levels, productivity and cost control.
• Oversee warehouse operations, trucking, and food safety programs.
• Lead and develop supervisors and frontline staff to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure alignment with organizational goals and cross‑functional partnerships (Sales, Customer Support, National Operations).
• Manage budgets, KPIs, and cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with SQF, HACCP, and FSMA.
