MiniMed offers a summer internship program in engineering roles, based in Northridge, CA. Interns work full-time for 10–11 weeks, earning an hourly wage and receiving housing assistance and relocation support for eligible interns.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related major with an anticipated graduation date Winter 2027, Spring 2028, Winter 2028, or Spring 2029.
Ability to participate full time (40 hours per week) in internship cohorts from June 1 to August 13 or June 14 to August 20.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineer: designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
Process Engineer: provides technical and sustaining engineering support, recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies.
