ACCEL Schools’ Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma is seeking teachers to serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in a rigorous online learning environment. You will deliver live lessons, set up courses in the LMS, and monitor student progress while collaborating with the Principal on progress reports.

Ideal candidates will hold a state teaching license, be proficient with state and Common Core standards, and demonstrate strong communication.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred

Responsabilités

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor
• Meet goals related to student achievement and accountability
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need
• Complete course setup for each course in the LMS
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grade assignments daily
• Track and maintain contact with each student
• Collaborate with Principal to deliver Progress Reports of Students
• Differentiate instruction to meet student needs
• Integrate 21st century technology skills into daily practice
• Support in-person state testing and student events as required
