Job summary

You will analyze clinical protocols for financial feasibility, negotiate budgets with sponsors/CROs, monitor trial financials, and ensure sponsor and regulatory compliance.

The role liaises with research, finance, and clinical operations to sustain the research enterprise and advance cancer care through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Knowledge of clinical research operations, trial budgeting, and sponsor contracting.
• Familiarity with federal regulations (OHRP, FDA, NIH) and billing compliance guidelines for research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze research protocols to identify required services, procedures, and resources.
• Develop, negotiate, and finalize study budgets with sponsors and CROs.
• Conduct financial feasibility assessments of potential studies for sustainability.
• Monitor clinical trial financials, including billing compliance and variance tracking.
• Collaborate with research coordinators, PIs, and finance to ensure accurate billing and reconciliation.
• Maintain tracking systems for budgets, contracts, and sponsor invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state billing regulations and sponsor requirements.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports, forecasts and dashboards.
