Job summary

TELACU Residential Management, Inc. is seeking a Resident Manager to oversee operations at an assigned community, collaborating with onsite and supervisory teams and outside agencies to deliver quality affordable housing. The role covers rent collections, occupancy, financial reporting, regulatory compliance and the physical management of the community.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and genuine interest in people.
• Highly organized and able to make quick but reasonable decisions.
• Professional demeanor in handling resident and employee relations.
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality while managing the community.
• Demonstrate integrity, respect and responsibility in dealing with residents and staff.
• Bilingual and fluent in the community language preferred (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Establish positive, productive relationships with onsite and supervisory teams.
• Enforce rental policies as per management plan.
• Keep average re-rent time to 5 days or less for vacancies.
• Process applicants and leases per Tenant Selection Plan.
• Follow HUD Handbook verification procedures and policies.
• Ensure 100% semi-annual unit inspections and fix deficiencies per OPPM.
• Prepare and distribute recertification notices on time; complete all annual recertifications.
• Develop and maintain tenant relations and adhere to Fair Housing laws.
• Build rapport with local government and agencies (fire, police, senior centers).
• Submit monthly occupancy and accounting reports and other required reports.
• Maintain accurate tenant and office files per procedures and HUD regulations.
• Follow petty cash guidelines and monthly reconciliations.
