Job summary

Soddy-Daisy Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT and to support residents in regaining independence in daily living activities.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document per regulatory standards, and participate in care conferences while contributing to a supportive, resident-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist; assist in initial evaluations as appropriate.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients per the plan of care.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines for documentation and billing.
• Maintain patient-centered interactions with patients and interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, and care conferences as directed.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate progress promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of organization, facility, and patient information.
• Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by the occupational therapist.
