Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis, 32-40 hours per week. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized care plans, and deliver hands-on, evidence-based therapy in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, documenting outcomes, and educating patients and families to maximize recovery and engagement.

Qualifications

• Must hold active OT license in the state.
• OTD/masters/bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy required or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes.
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and understanding.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team for seamless transitions of care.
• Lead by example and mentor therapy assistants or students.
