Job summary

Mercy Health's Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN to provide obstetric and neonatal care within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes patient-centered care across the childbirth continuum, including triage, birth, postpartum and neonatal care.

The RN will assess, monitor and educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and other care providers, and uphold safety standards and high-quality experiences.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where they are working or covered by compact.
• Basic Life Support (preferred at hire; obtain before direct patient care).
• Neonatal and obstetric certifications may be preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate obstetric, gynecologic and newborn patient care.
• Administer medications safely and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education and support to patients and families throughout labor, birth and postpartum care.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
