Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead resident care, staff support, and regulatory compliance in a Houston skilled nursing environment. This leadership role requires dependable clinical judgment and the ability to multitask and collaborate.

You will oversee staffing, care planning, infection control, and documentation, mentor nursing staff, and partner with physicians and consultants to uphold restorative care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Strong leadership and management experience.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing.
• Restorative care philosophy with strong assessment and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Support staffing needs and step in to assist floor staffing when needed.
• Oversee resident care including MDS, care planning, performance improvement and infection control programs.
• Manage nursing staff: hire, train, evaluate, assign and delegate nursing duties based on census and budget needs.
• Ensure up-to-date and accurate resident documentation and records.
• Develop individualized care plans with physicians and nursing teams.
• Coordinate staff resources and ensure access to equipment and supplies
• Uphold infection control through assessments and measures.
