Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic exams, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and maintain records.

You will review patient history, ensure safety, participate in quality control, and provide on-call coverage on a rotating basis.

Applicants must have AS/BS in nuclear medicine, NMTCB/ARRT certification, MA licensure, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a formal nuclear medicine technology program with an AS or BS degree.
• Registered by the NMTCB and/or ARRT.
• Licensed in Nuclear Medicine by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of diagnostic nuclear medicine.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals.
• Maintains receipt, dispensing, and disposal records for radiopharmaceuticals.
• Reviews medical records or takes patient history to determine indication and need for procedure.
• Performs patient study according to department protocol with modifications based on patient history.
• Evaluates images for completeness and accuracy; acquires additional data as needed.
• Performs radiation surveys and measurements per state regulations.
• Performs quality control and maintains records for equipment per procedures.
• Wears radiation monitoring devices and follows safety procedures.
• Provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
