Qualifications

• Graduate from a formal nuclear medicine technology program with an AS or BS degree.
• Registered by the NMTCB and/or ARRT.
• Licensed in Nuclear Medicine by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs all aspects of diagnostic nuclear medicine.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals.
• Maintains receipt, dispensing, and disposal records for radiopharmaceuticals used.
• Reviews patient history to determine indication for exams and needs of procedures.
• Performs patient studies according to department protocol and patient history.
• Evaluates images for completeness and accuracy; acquires additional data as needed.
• Performs radiation surveys and maintains compliance records.
• Produces accurate RIS and PACS records and completes Meditech entries.
• Pursues continuing education and maintains CPR certification and ARRT/NMTCB standards.
