Job summary

Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento (CRH) seeks a motivated Fund Development & Communications Intern to support Cedar Cottages and the One Brave Step campaign. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, fundraising, donor stewardship, and event planning, with mentorship from the Fund Development Director and exposure to CRH leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools; social media platforms a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn CRM/donor databases.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Discretion with donor information and financial contributions.
• Genuine interest in nonprofit work and CRH's mission.
• Age 18+

Responsibilities

• Create content for website, social media, and e-newsletter.
• Edit and design collateral materials using Canva.
• Respond to donation inquiries and process donations.
• Assist with donor communications and mailings.
• Coordinate with campus staff on donor needs and maintain an online wish list.
• Plan and help execute fundraising events.
• Support office operations and campaign tracking.
