Job summary

The State of South Carolina, through the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), seeks a software engineer to design, code, test, and document .NET C# applications used across agencies.

Responsibilities include translating user needs with UML/Visio, developing C#/.NET systems, SQL data queries, and maintaining documentation. Travel statewide may be required; strong SDLC experience and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with two years of .NET experience.
• Experience with detailed analysis, coding secure solutions, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong user support and interpersonal skills.
• Must know SDLC processes.
• Must have experience with C#.

Responsibilities

• Gather complete requirements from stakeholders and document, design, code, troubleshoot, and maintain applications.
• Review and translate business specifications into user documentation using UML/Visio/DevOps tools.
• Develop C# systems using .NET technologies (C#, XML, JavaScript, ADO, MS SQL).
• Create and modify database queries and reports; manage interfaces between apps and databases.
• Present status updates to management and collaborate with development staff.
