Job summary

Buffalo Public Schools seeks a Modified Boys Basketball Coach for PS 93 Southside Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The role coaches student athletes in game strategies and technique to prepare them for competition, while upholding NFHS ethics and district policies.

Candidates must meet First Aid/CPR/AED requirements or pursue certification paths; experience in organized basketball is preferred. Strong communication and relationship-building with staff, students, and parents are

Qualifications

Experience in organized basketball at club, select, modified, junior varsity, varsity, or college level preferred.
Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
Must know rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of basketball.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

Responsibilities

Adhere to the NFHS Coaches Code of Ethics.
Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Be available for contests and practices at the start of the athletic season, Monday through Saturday and some holidays.
Supervise equipment, uniforms, and supplies; submit requests to the Athletic Director.
Establish positive relationships with coaches, athletes, parents, and community members.
Attend meetings called by the Athletic Director or Building Principal.
