Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Engineer to collaborate with research teams within the Electro-Optical Systems Lab. You will build and validate simulation models, run experiments, and provide insights to optimize defense-related system designs.

Responsibilities include engaging sponsors, defining M&S requirements, producing technical reports, and ensuring reusable modeling approaches across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis for RF/EO/IR systems using AFSIM, Benchmark, ESAMS, MOSAIC, ITASE, GTSIMS, MATLAB, Python or related tools
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Direct sponsor engagement and facilitate product or system requirements gathering and analysis
• Develop M&S inputs, including framework definition, requirements analysis, synthesis, systems analysis and implementation
• Conduct product or system design analysis translating requirements into valid models and experimental designs for systems of moderate complexity
• Develop technical reports and diagrams detailing product or system attributes.
• Analyze product or system functionality as defined by requirements.
• Implement approaches that foster reusability of existing M&S expressions
• Travel to sponsor locations to support meetings and attend test events
• Perform other duties as assigned
