DSST Public Schools seeks a Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) for Montview Middle School in Denver, CO. This 0.5 FTE, in-person position offers a $31,000–$40,000 salary range and relocation stipend for applicants from 75 miles or more from Denver.

The role focuses on serving students with disabilities through IEP case management, collaboration with general education staff, and delivering rigorous, culturally responsive instruction within MTSS and co-taught settings.

Qualifications

• Be an IEP Case Manager: develop goals, write data-driven IEPs, monitor progress, and deliver interventions.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations/modifications with MTSS.
• Supervise paraprofessionals providing 1:1 support as needed.
• Deliver rigorous, culturally responsive instruction in co-taught/push-in settings.

Responsibilities

• Act as IEP Case Manager for a student portfolio, writing data-driven IEPs and delivering targeted interventions.
• Work with general education teachers to ensure accommodations and modifications are applied consistently.
• Supervise and develop paraprofessionals assigned to students in need of 1:1 support.
• Plan and deliver rigorously designed content in collaboration with co-teaching partners.
