Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Complete Medicaid logging and adhere to timelines for special education processes.
• Provide specially designed instruction based on students' needs and goals.
• Adapt instructional materials and assessments to support student success.
• Monitor progress, document accurately, and report progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support accommodations and access.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Use data and progress-monitoring tools to guide instruction.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Support students' social-emotional development and independence.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies and procedures.
• Engage in professional development and collaborative school improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by building principal or district administration.
