Qualifications

• Must hold GaPSC certification for Middle Grades Social Studies (48) or Social Studies (612).
• Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education or related field.
• Knowledge of the Georgia Standards of Excellence for Middle Grades Social Studies.
• Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, FERPA and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction aligned with Ga Standards and district curriculum in history, geography, economics, civics/government.
• Differentiate instruction based on assessment data and student needs.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with FERPA, GaDOE regulations.
• Ensure safe, orderly classroom environment and enforce conduct policies.
• Communicate academic progress with students and parents; protect confidentiality.
• Participate in required professional learning and collaborate with staff.
