Job summary

Saga Education is hiring tutors for in-person, full-time roles in Chicago, IL. The position runs Monday–Friday during traditional school hours, 32–37.5 hours weekly, starting August 2026 and ending June 2027, with compensation at $21/hour and relocation assistance for moves over 50 miles.

You will provide daily math tutoring, develop lesson plans, analyze student data to tailor instruction, and maintain family communication.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States and reside in the U.S. during background screening and employment.
• Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must clear a Criminal History Check and health requirements before training starts.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily math tutoring to assigned students for multiple class periods.
• Develop lesson plans and prep using Saga Curriculum.
• Analyze student data to differentiate math instruction and adjust lessons.
• Maintain attendance and monitor progress, providing feedback.
• Communicate with parents/guardians via email, text, or phone.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues affecting instruction.
• Create incentives, trackers, and recognition for students.
• Check emails and Slack daily; coordinate with program managers.
• Participate in weekly observations, reflections, and PD for growth.
• Build relationships with students, teachers, and community.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by program leadership.
