Job summary

The Brook Hospital in Louisville, KY is seeking a Mental Health Technician for night shift to support safety, structure, and a therapeutic environment. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to care for adults across inpatient and outpatient services.

Responsibilities include daily safety checks, monitoring patient locations and conditions, accurate hand-offs, and assisting with behavior management under facility guidelines. CPR certification and strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• No experience required; direct patient care in a behavioral health setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks daily and as needed per guidelines.
• Knows location and condition of all patients at all times.
• Ensure proper hand off of clinical information.
• Assists in management of behavior and control of destructive/unsafe behavior per facility guidelines.
• Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations.
