Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a direct care professional to support psychiatric rehabilitation clients in a in-person setting in Westminster, MD. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to help clients learn or relearn skills for independent living and socialization, while ensuring medication safety and adherence to CACFP and health regulations.

The role involves transporting clients to appointments, documenting follow-up instructions, and contributing to a nutritious, safe food service

Qualifications

• Direct care experience supporting mental health treatment.
• Experience ensuring medication safety and dosing accuracy.
• Ability to work with a collaborative service team to implement plans.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to support independent living.
• Ensure medication safety, dosage accuracy, and cleanliness.
• Develop and implement individual service plans with the team.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and document follow-up instructions.
• Maintain CACFP documentation and assist in food service operations.
• Monitor portion control, inventory, and food purchases.
