Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in behavioral sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or behavioral science with 3 years’ direct mental health care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial screenings and psychiatric diagnostic evaluations for new clients seeking services.
• Provide mental health case management and counseling/therapy services for an assigned caseload.
• Work in a multidisciplinary treatment team with patients and their social networks to support recovery from mental illness.
• Assess patient needs and determine interventions.
• Assist clients with housing and funding to prevent inappropriate crisis service use.
• Facilitate diversion from psychiatric hospitalization when appropriate.
• Participate in case reviews.
• Document patient contacts in medical records and develop care plans.
• Engage in triage services.
