Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field and licensure as Mental Health Practitioner.
- Licensed or provisionally licensed in Nebraska and able to obtain full licensure.
- 3000 hours of post-degree supervised counseling experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention to inmates.
- Complete written documentation for assigned inmates promptly.
- Consult with staff on inmate mental status and treatment progression in MDT meetings.
- Screen and refer inmates to appropriate review teams.
- Assess suicide risk and assist with initial screening of new inmates.
- Provide after-hours mental health consultation when on-call.
