Job summary

Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical/Surgical Services. The role involves applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for adult and geriatric patients in the Medical/Surgical Unit (2 East–7 East).

The position requires an active RN license in Alabama, English proficiency, and BLS; ACLS is preferred and Special Procedures may be required. Shifts are 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at 0.9 FTE with regular status.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in Alabama.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• ACLS certification preferred; Basic Life Support obtained.
• Experience with medical/surgical nursing competencies and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients.
• Provide care in units such as 2 East–7 East in Medical/Surgical Services.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures and nursing standards.
• Maintain nursing competencies and participate in shift handoffs and patient safety initiatives.
