Zayed Law in the Chicago area seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its growing personal injury practice, focusing on medical malpractice cases. You will review records, coordinate expert retention, and guide cases through deadlines, depositions, and trial preparation.

You will collaborate with a paralegal team, manage case strategy with AJZ leadership, and help maximize client compensation while upholding confidentiality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from Accredited Law School required.
• Active Illinois license to practice law required; other states preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of trial experience.
• Minimum 1 year of personal injury or plaintiff litigation experience.
• Minimum 1 year of medical malpractice litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute directives and high-priority case management tasks.
• Draft, file and follow up on legal documents; ensure court deadlines.
• Review medical records to identify malpractice elements.
• Obtain life care plans and retain experts as needed.
• Manage cases within statute limitations across jurisdictions.
• Attend expert, client and witness depositions as scheduled.
• Prepare for and attend pre-trial conferences and trials.
• Consult on negotiation and trial strategy to maximize client compensation.
• Uphold confidentiality, integrity and strong internal communication.
