Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to support a lead attorney in medical malpractice litigation. You will draft and e-file pleadings, conduct legal research, and organize medical records.

You will coordinate depositions, assist with witness prep, and help prepare trial binders alongside the team. The role requires at least 1 year in a legal setting, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a legal setting — litigation, personal injury, or medical malpractice is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records review is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a demanding workload with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work within the procedural and filing requirements of applicable state courts.
• This role is on-site; associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Draft, prepare, and e-file legal documents including pleadings, motions, complaints, affidavits, memoranda, and summons.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation; track key deadlines.
• Request, organize, and summarize medical records; prepare chronologies and identify standard-of-care issues.
• Prepare and respond to discovery documents; maintain indexes for pleadings and exhibits.
• Coordinate depositions, summarize transcripts, and assist with witness prep.
• Support medical expert coordination and communication.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits with the legal assistant; liaise with clients, courts, and vendors.
• Assist with settlements and other duties as assigned.
