Center for Bone & Joint Surgery is a multi-location medical practice focused on musculoskeletal care. We are seeking an Insurance Follow-up Representative / Medical Collector to review denials, verify eligibility, and manage accounts receivable in a fast-paced office setting.

The role requires 1–3 years of medical billing and collections experience, strong communication with insurers and patients, and proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and Athena billing.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Effective communication with insurance carriers and patients; ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Reviews insurance denials and determines next steps to resolve denials.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance eligibility for claims processing.
• Verifies receipt of claims with insurance plans and timeliness of processing.
• Researches information needed to complete billing processes with providers and staff.
• Attaches referrals/authorizations to appointments/charges.
• Maintains productivity and accuracy per department standards.
