Job summary

Ampact's Math Corps is seeking a Math Tutor to work at a local school, helping students improve their math skills. You'll tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes and follow a schedule to ensure continuous support.

Full-time AmeriCorps members earn a biweekly stipend of $18.89 per hour served and receive benefits including health insurance, child care assistance, and loan forgiveness options via PSLF. Training and coaching are provided to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Dependable with good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, online navigation).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into data software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.
