Job summary

Ampact is recruiting for Math Corps to place tutors in local schools to help students strengthen their math skills. You will tutor groups of up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes, then transition them back to class with coaching support.

The role is a paid AmeriCorps position through Math Corps, offering health insurance, child care assistance, and education benefits, with a start in January 2027 and a 35-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Commit to growth through coaching and training.
• Share experience with the community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tutoring sessions in math for groups up to 3 students for 20–30 minutes.
• Prepare students for classroom transitions and manage daily tutoring flow.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to students and coach.
