ABB is seeking a Material Handler (1st Shift) to operate equipment and move materials through the production line onsite in St. Louis. You will follow work orders, safety guidelines, and production schedules to ensure timely delivery and quality of components.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and occasional overtime. Competitive hourly pay applies, with shift premiums noted for later shifts.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year as Utility 19 Operator preferred.
• Commitment to ABB safety policies; proper PPE worn at all times.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements on production pace.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and related equipment.
• Ability to read/work orders, blueprints and inventory tags; basic calculations.
• Must maintain regular attendance and be flexible for overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Load coils on dereelers with correct C hook and centered hoist.
• Use safety chain when loading coils.
• Unload first wrap from coils and reposition magnets.
• Ensure coils loaded on both sides of dereeler at each press end.
• Palletize material off conveyors.
• Operate electric pallet truck to move pallets/boxes to staging area.
• Operate hoist to hang coils weighing 50 lbs+.
• Use pneumatic shears, stapler and hydraulic lift tables as needed.
• Assemble boxes to keep production going and reserve for next shift.
• Ensure lines are clear at shift end and perform daily cleanup.
