Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI) is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to build a dynamic local marketing function and help grow a team for a nationally recognized brand. This role shapes how BBBSI tells its story, increases visibility, engages supporters, and inspires investment in its mission.

Responsibilities span digital marketing, social media, external communications, and internal collaboration, with some evening/weekend events.

Qualifications

• Four+ years in marketing, communications, PR, digital marketing, or related field with campaign planning experience.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling abilities with audience tailoring.
• Solid project management across calendars, deadlines, and cross-department requests.
• Ability to balance hands-on marketing with internal/external resource management.
• Experience with website CMS, email marketing, social media, and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms; Salesforce experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated digital campaigns supporting fundraising, donor engagement, and brand awareness.
• Manage email marketing campaigns: planning, segmentation, content, scheduling, testing, and review.
• Oversee website content updates with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring accuracy and brand alignment.
• Monitor website and campaign performance using SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and analytics tools.
• Plan and coordinate social media strategy, content, and paid campaigns where appropriate.
