Job summary

Ms HomeCare, part of LHC Group and within the Optum family, is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to manage patient referrals and visit schedules using an online scheduling system.

You will collaborate with the Team Leader to identify clinicians with the right experience to match patient needs and ensure timely, accurate scheduling. The role emphasizes customer service, organization, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1+ years scheduling experience in a health care setting using an online scheduling system.
• Working knowledge of state and federal regulations governing OASIS visits, supervisory, and reassessment visits

Responsibilities

• Uses an automated scheduling system to maintain a calendar of services for episodic and per-visit customers.
• Processes workflow for requested schedules, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and delivered visits.
• Monitors pending referrals daily and assigns licensed professionals and case managers for start of care visits.
• Communicates daily with field staff regarding visits unaddressed or pending for resolution.
