Job summary

Seneca Nation Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide professional nursing care under the direction of staff RNs for patients receiving medical care according to established best practices and standards.

You will collaborate with the care team to prepare patients for examinations, perform nursing duties as licensed, document data in the electronic health record, monitor patients’ emotional status, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while delivering

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse NYS licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience required.
• Current CPR/BLS required.
• Experience in a large hospital, academic medical center, outpatient health care setting, or IHS/tribal health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under direction of staff RNs.
• Prepare patients for, and assist providers with, examinations and procedures.
• Obtain pertinent clinical data and document in the electronic health record.
• Monitor patients' emotional status and comfort during visits; report to RNs and providers.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and deliver culturally sensitive care.
• Handle communications for patient care and document all contacts.
