Job summary

ADP, Inc. seeks a Long Term Substitute Art Teacher for November 2026 through January 2027 to teach art education to students in grades PK–6 and support staff in art instruction.

The teacher will plan age-appropriate activities, establish learning objectives, and use varied media to develop students' artistic abilities while fostering cultural understanding and historical context, with regular progress reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of art teaching concepts, activities and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare a program of study to meet student needs and interests.
• Establish and communicate clear learning objectives.
• Develop age-appropriate instructional strategies to meet art goals.
• Demonstrate and assist students in using different media to develop artworks.
• Inform students about cultural and historical influences on art.
• Provide instruction that fosters appreciation of art.
• Encourage students to express themselves creatively.
• Assess and evaluate student performance regularly.
• Prepare progress reports and provide feedback to stakeholders.
