Job summary

Royal Property Management Group in San Diego County is seeking a Leasing Agent for Affordable Housing to manage the full leasing cycle, ensure occupancy goals, and maintain compliance with LIHTC, HUD, PBV, and related funding programs.

The ideal candidate will handle applicant interviews, screenings, unit tours, and lease signings, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining audit-ready files in a fast-paced affordable housing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of affordable housing leasing experience preferred.
• Experience with LIHTC, HUD, or PBV programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full leasing cycle from inquiry through move-in.
• Maintain waitlists per Tenant Selection Plan (TSP).
• Conduct applicant interviews and screenings.
• Coordinate and schedule unit tours and lease signings.
• Ensure units are leased in a timely manner to meet occupancy goals.
• Maintain a pipeline of qualified applicants (2–3 ready files per vacancy).
• Process and complete initial certifications in compliance with LIHTC, HUD, PBV, HOME, MHSA and other programs.
• Submit files to Compliance Department for approval in a timely manner.
• Maintain audit-ready files and adherence to deadlines.
