Job summary

St Catherine of Siena School Community is seeking a Learning Support Partner to work with Learning Diversity Leaders and teachers to support students with diverse needs. The role involves assisting students individually or in small groups to achieve personalised learning goals under teacher direction.

The successful candidate will contribute to a safe learning environment, engage in ongoing professional learning, and collaborate with a range of staff.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety and wellbeing of children.
• Experience supporting primary students and diverse needs.
• Ability to communicate clearly and organise learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
• Build positive relationships and create engaging learning environments.
• Support personalised learning strategies and PLPs with teachers.
• Facilitate small group tasks/interventions with staff support.
• Support learning enviroment for sensory, regulation and language needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with teachers and allied staff.
• Record adjustments and program notes per NCCD evidentiary requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of child safety obligations.
• Assist with school and extracurricular events as appropriate.
• Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
