International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) is seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery/Maternal-Newborn Nursing Clinical Instructor to join our academic team in Kendall, FL. The role instructs and supervises nursing students across labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, mother-baby, and newborn-care settings.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered Florida or Compact State RN license required.
• Minimum of four years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
• Strong recent hospital experience in labor and delivery and/or maternal-newborn nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school required.
• Experience in clinical instruction, preceptorship, staff development, or nursing education preferred.
• Current obstetric or neonatal certifications (e.g., NRP, fetal-monitoring) preferred, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing students in labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, mother-baby, newborn nursery, and other maternal-newborn clinical settings.
• Provide direct, on-site oversight of students during assessments, care, documentation, and communication with patients and the perinatal team.
• Demonstrate and teach best practices in obstetric and maternal-newborn nursing, including fetal surveillance and postpartum care.
• Guide students in recognizing and escalating maternal, fetal, newborn, and postpartum concerns.
• Teach safe practices related to fetal monitoring, vital signs, postpartum hemorrhage awareness, newborn safety, and infection prevention.
• Ensure compliance with clinical-site policies, confidentiality, documentation, and safety standards.
