Job summary

The International College of Health Sciences (ICHS) seeks a dedicated Labor & Delivery/Maternal-Newborn Nursing Clinical Instructor to join our academic team in Kendall, FL. The role focuses on supervising and instructing nursing students across labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care settings.

Ideal candidates will have substantial obstetric/maternal-newborn clinical experience and an active Florida RN license (or Compact State).

Qualifications

• RN license in Florida or Compact State.
• Minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong hospital experience in labor and delivery or maternal-newborn nursing.
• BSN from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing students in labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, mother-baby, and newborn care settings.
• Provide direct, on-site oversight of students during patient assessments and care.
• Teach best practices in obstetric and maternal-newborn nursing and patient education.
• Guide students in recognizing and escalating maternal, fetal, newborn, and postpartum concerns.
• Ensure compliance with clinical-site policies, confidentiality, and infection-control practices.
• Monitor student performance and provide timely feedback to support clinical competence.
