Job summary

MindCare Solutions, a clinician-owned leader in behavioral health, seeks a Clinical Psychologist to provide services in a juvenile corrections facility in North Denver, CO. You will deliver psychotherapy, assessments, and evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary team and ensure care aligns with ethical standards.

Primary duties include evaluations, treatment planning, crisis intervention, staff training, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active state psychology license on file.
• Prior correctional experience preferred (1+ years).
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and situational awareness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations to diagnose and provide treatment recommendations.
• Assess mental status and determine need for higher level of care or special placement.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Refer to psychiatrists for medication management when appropriate.
• Monitor psychotropic medications and report side effects.
• Train staff to recognize suicide risk factors and prevention strategies.
• Deliver in-service education and crisis intervention to staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and required reports.
• Collaborate with physicians and psychiatrists on patient care.
• Participate in quality-of-care reviews and improvement efforts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
