ACCEL Schools is seeking highly-qualified Intervention Specialists for Cornerstone Academy - Middle School in Westerville, Ohio. The role focuses on supporting educational and behavioral goals with emphasis on students with IEPs, including collaboration with teachers and families.

Formación

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching through observations, debriefs and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Work cooperatively with teachers to interpret abilities/disabilities and modify curricula as needed.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Strive to meet student achievement and school culture goals.
• Use research-based practices in planning and instruction.
• Apply culturally responsive teaching in daily lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for a group of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities like social events and field trips.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
