ACCEL Schools Mount Auburn Preparatory Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio seeks an Intervention Specialist dedicated to supporting students with IEP goals in a rigorous, nurturing learning environment. The role focuses on behavior support, inclusion, and collaboration with teachers and families.

The candidate will work within an EK-12 setting, participate in IEP processes, and help implement evidence-based strategies to improve academic and social-emotional outcomes for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license or Ohio Unlimited Substitute License.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or eligibility to pursue licensure.
• Eligible to pursue Ohio Intervention Specialist licensure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to interpret student needs and modify general education curricula.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction and progress.
• Carry out functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals/objectives.
• Monitor student achievement and school culture goals.
• Use evidence-based teaching practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching in daily lessons and interactions.
• Serve as advisor for assigned students and communicate progress to families.
• Plan and participate in non-instructional activities and events.
• Collaborate with families on student growth and development.
• Support inclusion and co-teaching models within classrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
