Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is seeking a Housing Navigation Coordinator to support clients at the Housing Navigation Center in Las Vegas. You will greet clients, check them in, and guide them through shelter enrollment while coordinating with case management to secure housing opportunities and referrals.

Qualifications

• Prior full-time professional level casework experience in a social service agency preferred.
• Prior experience with homeless population required.
• Experience with chronically homeless men preferred.
• Flexible schedule to work after hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients
• Check clients into the Housing Navigation Center
• Facilitate Night Shelter Enrollment
• Work closely with Case Management to create seamless transition from homelessness to housing
• Maintain awareness of potential resources in the community and make proper referrals
• Assess and identify clients’ eligibility to housing, employment, substance use, nutritional assistance or other programs and provide guidelines
• Complete documentation using computer programs and data systems
• Protect confidential information and comply with safety rules
• Document and track case management services and referrals
• Complete referrals to outside specialties as needed
• Other related duties as directed.
